# Connecting & Verifying Your Social Media Accounts

Before you can pick campaigns and submit post links on Kpugi, you must link your public social media profiles. This allows our automated tracking engine to recognize your content, verify your post views, and credit your wallet.

## 1. Supported Social Platforms

Kpugi currently supports distribution across four major platforms:

- **TikTok** (Best for vertical video distribution)
- **Instagram** (Reels and Feed posts)
- **X / Twitter** (Promo tweets and flyers)
- **YouTube Shorts** (Vertical 9:16 video clips)

## 2. How to Link Your Accounts

1. Log into Kpugi and click on **Settings**.
2. Navigate to the **\\"Social Profiles\\"** tab.
3. For each platform you use:
   - Enter your exact social handle / username (e.g., @yourcreatorname).
   - Click **\\"Connect Account\\"**.
4. Our system will run an initial connectivity check to confirm that the handle exists and is currently set to public.

## 3. The Golden Rule: Accounts Must Be Public

⚠️ **Private accounts cannot earn on Kpugi.** Our automated analytics engines read public engagement metrics to verify real human views. If your TikTok, Instagram, or X account is set to **Private**:

- The system cannot fetch your view counts.
- Your submitted post links will fail verification.
- You will be unable to earn or withdraw payouts.

Always verify that your profile is set to **Public** in your social media privacy settings before submitting campaign links.

## 4. What If You Change Your Social Handle?

If you change your username or handle on TikTok, Instagram, or X:

1. Return to **Settings > Social Profiles** on Kpugi.
2. Update your username to match your new handle.
3. Re-save your profile.

> 📌 **Note:** Any active campaigns currently tracking views on your old username will continue monitoring using the direct post URL, but future submissions must match your new active handle.

## 5. Account Ownership & Anti-Impersonation

Under Kpugi's [Platform Terms of Service](https://kpugi.com/terms), you may only link and submit links from social media accounts that **you personally own and operate**.

- Submitting post links from accounts belonging to other influencers, celebrities, or strangers is strictly prohibited.
- Impersonation attempts result in an immediate permanent ban and forfeiture of all accumulated earnings.
