On Kpugi, creators do not produce or film videos from scratch. Instead, they act as high-reach distribution nodes for your ready-made marketing material.

Whatever video or image file you attach to your campaign page is what dozens or hundreds of creators will download and post directly to their personal channels.

Here are the specifications and best practices to ensure high performance:

1. Supported File Formats & Dimensions #

Depending on which platforms you selected, follow these recommendations:

Vertical Video (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) #

  • File Format: .mp4 or .mov (H.264 video codec, AAC audio).
  • Aspect Ratio: Vertical 9:16 (1080 × 1920 pixels).
  • Duration: 15 to 45 seconds works best for viral retention.
  • Audio: Crisp voiceover or upbeat background music mixed in.

Square / Portrait Flyers (Instagram Feed, X/Twitter, Facebook) #

  • File Format: .jpg or .png (high resolution, under 15MB).
  • Aspect Ratio: 1:1 Square (1080 × 1080) or 4:5 Portrait (1080 × 1350).
  • Visuals: High-contrast text, clear pricing or discount callout, and visible brand logo.

2. Mandatory Captions & Hashtags #

Every campaign brief includes a Required Caption & Hashtags section. Creators are required to copy and paste this exact text when publishing:

  • Hook / Offer: 1 or 2 lines that summarize the message (e.g., \”Get 20% off all orders with code KPUGI20 this weekend!\”).
  • Mandatory Hashtags: Include 2 to 4 relevant tags (e.g., #BrandName #KpugiAd #LagosFashion).
  • Call-to-Action (CTA): Tell viewers what to do next (\”Link in bio\”, \”Download on App Store\”, or \”Send a DM to order\”).

3. Destination URL & UTM Tracking Links #

If your campaign goal is website clicks, app downloads, or leads:

  • Include a specific landing page URL.
  • We recommend using UTM parameters (e.g., ?utm_source=kpugi&utm_medium=creators&utm_campaign=launch) so you can track direct conversions in your Google Analytics or Shopify dashboard.

4. Quality Checklist Before Uploading #

Before hitting publish on your campaign, double check:

  • [ ] No dates that will expire mid-campaign: If your campaign runs for 2 weeks, don’t say “offer ends tonight” in the video file.
  • [ ] No placeholders: Double-check that your phone number, website link, and coupon code are 100% correct.
  • [ ] Safe Zone Awareness: Keep critical text away from the very bottom or right-hand edge of vertical videos so TikTok and Instagram UI buttons (like, share, comments) don’t cover your message.
